Climate change, tourism and sustainable mobility are focus of the 5th edition of the Umbria Green Festival 2020 with great international writers.
Milan, 14 september 2020 – Be Charge supports the cultural association De Rerum Natura as main sponsor in the organization of Umbria Green Festival 2020 from 17 to 20 September, the first green festival in Umbria that takes place in Perugia, Assisi, Narni and Terni, involving some of the main places of historical and naturalistic interest in Umbria such as the Fossil Forest of Dunarobba and the archaeological park of Carsulae, where some of the main readings and debates will be held. Be Charge is developing one of the largest and most widespread network of public charging infrastructures for electric vehicles in Italy. Together , with the partner Technè, main sponsor and organizer of the Festival, Be Charge development of the widespread and widespread charging network for electric vehicles and currently has a number of operational charging stations in the center-south in constant growth, succeeding thus achieving its goal as a nationally established charging operator. Techné is committed alongside Be Charge in this project, having collaborated from the start and contributed to the installation of many charging points in Lazio, Umbria, Abruzzo and Marche.
During the Umbria Green Festival will be present Mario Tozzi, Valerio Rossi Albertini and Luca Mercalli (in remote connection) as well as consecrated signatures of international literature such as the writer Amitav Ghosh, who will speak in connection from New York, the actress Sonia Bergamasco, the writer Silvia Bre and many others. The 2020 edition of Umbria Green Festival focuses on climate change, tourism and sustainable mobility. The Undersecretary for the Environment Roberto Morassut will open the first table that takes place within the European Mobility Week in Perugia on Sunday 20 September with a video message. The debate will be attended by Fabio Massimo Frattale Mascioli (scientific director of Pomos), Paolo Ricci (president of Umbria Energy), climatologist Luca Mercalli (in connection) and Valerio Rossi Albertini. Enrico Giovannini, Spokesperson of ASviS will also speak in connection. An electric caravan will then depart from the heart of the Umbrian capital, consisting of cars, bicycles and other vehicles from all over Italy. It will cross the zero-emission Region, stopping at the Monte Vibiano Vecchio winery, where electric bikes will also gather, thanks to the collaboration of FIAB, and then continue to Assisi, where the final event will be held, in which the writer Amitav Ghosh (in connection from New York) will talk with the mayor of the seraphic city Stefania Proietti.
Organized by the cultural association De Rerum Natura, with the organizational secretariat of Techne srl, in collaboration with the Umbria Region and with the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment, it also involves some of the major places of historical-naturalistic interest in Umbria such as the Fossil Forest of Dunarobba and the archaeological park of Carsulae, where some of the main readings and debates will be held. Umbria Green Festival has always collaborated with local associations, such as the Garden Club Terni, the Gutenberg Association and Pro Natura Terni, associations that have become an integral part of the event and co-organizers with projects dedicated to schools. Terni will host readings and meetings with schools at the Municipal Library (BCT), while in Carsulae Sonia Bergamasco and Silvia Bre will be staged for a reading from the work of Emily Dickinson and at the Fossil Forest of Dunarobba Valerio Rossi Albertini with the show “The construction of a love “. Mario Tozzi, on the other hand, will present at the Manini Theater in Narni the show “I don’t believe in climate” about climate change, created together with the singer-songwriter Lorenzo Baglioni.
